Gilva S.A. was set up in August in 1.973 by D. Domingo Valimañas Escuin, who had already begun in the sixties its activity in the sector of precast concrete with the manufacture of prestressed joists.
As complement to the same ones he introduces the simultaneous manufacture of hollow ceiling bricks, concrete blocks, bilayer concrete curb and smooth, tongued and grooved, precast concrete piping. An important investment in technology takes place in 1979. As much in the manufacture of prestressed joists as in the incorporation of new products such as the Main beam HC, flume for irrigation and other special pieces of big dimensions. Throughout the decade of the eighties takes place a series of important innovations such as the transformation of the productive process of concrete blocks, hollow ceiling bricks, concrete curbs, and the introduction of new products as mouth bell pipes with elastic joint rubber in two gables "loose " and "reinforced"concrete, happening some years later to manufacture special pieces destined for the hydraulic sector (elements for collectors, Aragon’s Imperial Channel, Civan's Channel...) Following reasons of diversification established by Gilva S.A., in 1.994 a new challenge is adopted, getting in the sector of the construction and development of agricultural and cattle, warehouses, going on later to the specialization in Industrial buildings with the accomplishment of important Promotions. Gilva S.A. has been consolidated in the sector of Industrial buildings as one of the most powerful, thanks to the continuous incorporation of products (Hollow – core slab enclosures and Isolated of 15 and 20 cm thick with diverse finished, Rounded Pillars, Tubular Girders, Fire-proof Slab, Floor and ceiling slab T-30..) and productive innovative processes, adapting to the changeable needs of the market. A rigorous technical and advice system has been developed whose aim is to orientate the client before the diverse constructive possibilities, to be able to profit to the maximum from its project and provide it with own personality. The Certification of company UNE-EN-ISO 9.001:2000 of design, production and staging of precast units by the company AENOR is obtained in 2004, with the aim to increase the satisfaction of the clients and the value added of our products. The second emplacement of production of 100.000 sq m in the Industrial area “Fuensalada” in Calanda is inaugurated in 2008, new offices of 500 sq m and with a superior investment to 6 million euros. The Certificates of Marked CE for the Structural and Linear Elements and Hollow core slabs are also obtained, whereas for concrete blocks, curbs and precast piping. |
